About Cora

15 years of teaching.

15 years teaching experience Classical Pilates certification (Romana's Pilates lineage) 500-hour comprehensive teacher training Continuing education in pre/postnatal modifications

Cora trained at a classical Pilates studio in London before relocating to coastal Maine, where she's taught from a converted barn studio for the past 12 years. Her teaching style emphasizes the original Pilates principles — centering, concentration, control, precision, breath, and flow — and resists the modern temptation to turn every class into a workout.

She writes from the position that most people doing Pilates today have never done classical Pilates, and that the difference is bigger than they think.
